On March 27, 2018, we will welcome Elizabeth (Libs) Elliott to our Guild for a Trunk Show and a Workshop the next day. Libs is from Toronto and is a textile artist and designer that uses technology and traditional methods to build her handmade quilts. She also designs fabric collections for Andover Fabrics.  She will be teaching  The Rebel Quilt workshop on March 28th. Libs is our Canadian “Tula Pink” innovative, modern and dynamic – this is a workshop not to be missed! Sign up at our February meeting.

Lenore Crawford will be coming to our Guild in June 2018 for a Trunk Show and a two-day workshop, offered on June 27 and 28.  Lenore combines her love of France, French architecture, flower gardens, along with her passion for colour and realism.  She has won numerous prizes for her art and continues to grow her medium and style in new and beautiful ways.

During the 2 days, you will outline the pattern on freezer paper, then transfer to background fabric where the design will be fused. NO SEWING during the workshop – only the designing and fusing. You will learn how to make your own patterns from your own photos focusing on value for depth and texture.  Lenore will also demonstrate how to add fabric painting to your design to add detail and depth; students will do painting on their own designs in the two-day workshops.
